Things are going pretty well, although my delivery still hasn't come, which pisses me off, but other than that, pretty well. Umm, New Years was nuts, I don't remember much of New Years Eve night, but that is probably for the best of it. Other than that, I watched quite a few movies over break and got to get my game on with the Wii for a bit. Hung out with some friends and drank some beers. Not too much to report on... Lets see, I'm still reading my David Sedaris, well, re-reading at this point. I also picked up some Charles Bukowski poetry with a Barnes & Nobel gift card from my parents which I have been reading at night. Probably not the best idea since it's pretty messed up shit, but ohh well. I seem to get to bed fine, it's waking up that is the problem :-P Messed up dreams lately though. I had a dream last night that I was walking around New York City smoking, and that was it, and from what I remember it was a pretty long dream, but that is all I did. I've never been to New York and never smoked cigarettes, which is what made it odd. Other than that it was a pretty tranquil dream, something I wouldn't mind having again. It kind of makes me never want to go to New York, just for the fact that it might spoil that dream. Like a toy you yearned for as a child, then once you got it, it really wasn't as fun as you had thought. Work seems to go pretty good once I make it in. I keep ontop of the things that I need to get done and hope to keep pushing myself harder, not for the fact that I want to be good at my job, but that it seems to keep my mind busy and the day goes by faster. Plus, I want to get home sooner so I can wait by the doorstep for my delivery I'm yearning for that won't be as good when it arrives, hence the inevitable flaw of hoping for anything. Yet, what's the fun in life without hope and disappointment right ;) Yeah, I know that seems pretty messed up, but sometimes reality is that way... well most of the time reality is that way, kind of like the saying the strangest fiction is often fact, or something like that. Anyway, enough of this, if you wanted to know more you would be more interested and try and contact me, or maybe not, maybe whom ever reads this thinks I would hate them or be judgemental or something that people do to try and stop themselves from doing stuff. It's really not that bad, I promise. I leave you with a haiku.

So last night I went and got the transporter movies (1 &2) and a weird movie about clown zombies (I'm pretty sure every girl I ever dated would probably hate this movie), watched transporter 1, which was pretty good, and I'm pretty sure I had seen it before but didn't remember much about it. I went to best buy again and looked at the TVs, I really really want to get it! Then I got tired of being by myself so I went and hung out with Troy, watched some random TV then got some Wendy's went home and slept :-/

Alright, it has been a while since I have posted anything... So here is a big update. I now live in Cedar Rapids, found a home on the NE side. I have been changing the house my own tastes. I got a whole new bedroom set and painted the bedroom a grayish-blue with a blue stripe. I have also been working on the kitchen, we are painting it green and are going to put up a white tile back splash. I also got a new cat, her name is Pi, she is black with a little patch of white on her chest, she is great and was a rescue kitten, I got her at the beginning of July, so about 3 years after Six came along. They both love the new house, especially the 3 seasons porch. I work at Rockwell now, I'm doing Software Development for the Rotary Wing Displays Team, it's fun. Any who, that is my quick update for anyone that is interested.

hey! look at me! I'm updating!

New job is going great! I'm working on the display modules for military helicopters. Right now I'm doing testing, but eventually I'll be programming the displays. Work is going pretty well, I'm getting settled in. My boss is great, he is training for Iron Man. The commute up kinda sucks, but the good thing is that I don't really have set hours, so I can come in pretty much whenever I want, as long as I get my work done and such. Got sick last weekend and missed Monday and Tuesday, so I guess I really haven't had a full week of work yet, but it's still exciting. The people I work with are all pretty cool, mostly around my age, pretty relaxed, and quite helpful. Haven't heard from anyone back at the arcade, but Scott poked me on facebook today, so I figured I'd update. Let everyone know that I'm doing great and glad I don't have to deal with students anymore. Anyways, got to hit the hay, getting in to work early tomorrow.

DBK. He comes into the arcade and says he has project room 2 reserved, 5 minutes earlier he was on a computer upstairs reserving the room, I have already told him twice that he needs to reserve it atleast a day in advance before it is "reserved" otherwise its first come first serve. Today he wanted the mic, so I gave it to him and he asks "are you going to unlock it for me?", I reply, "It's already unlocked you can just go on in", "What?", "Its already unlocked you can go right in", "Are you sure its wise to keep it unlocked", "yeah, why", "people could take things in there", "All the computers are locked down and I can see the door from here", "I don't think YOU should keep it unlocked" and he turns and walks away. Later he walks up, "I can't get the sound to play from audacity in there, something is wrong with your computer", "Alright I'll come take a look at it.", "Alright you'll have to unlock it", "What?", "I locked the door", "Why?", "I didn't want my stuff to get taken and if my stuff got taken it would be your fault and you wouldn't like that would you", "First, your stuff isn't going to get taken, I can see the door from here and no one else goes in those rooms. Second, it wouldn't be my fault you didn't take your stuff with you when you left, thus not my problem if it gets taken. Third, you can't lock those doors University policy", "It would totally be your fault, you weren't watching my stuff in your room" , "Sorry man, the law doesn't work that way with public areas, the city doesn't owe you anything if you leave your stuff in a park", "Well, why can't I lock the door then!", "As I just said its a public area, we try our best to monitor these areas and keep any areas closed that aren't in use, but anyone has the right with legitimate reason to use the facilities. That includes the policy to lock rooms that aren't in use and keep rooms unlocked that are", "I would totally sue you guys then and win.", "Right.."So I ask mei for her keys, she doesn't have them and took the spare key and left it at home. Mei is supposed to be closing tonight... Luckly Choong Hee was around, this is where I left and let mei deal with the Douche.

Okay, another quick one, the other day he was trying to talk to Scott about sound editing. He is working I think in premiere and wants to get a huge view of the wave form to edit or something. Scott was like why don't you pull it in to audacity? So Scott was showing him stuff in audacity and the DBK starts whistling right in Scott's ear. Loud enough that everyone in the arcade can hear it. He then tries to talk to Scott about sound editing like he knows a bunch of stuff and like his projects are extremely important. I'm pretty sure its the same kid and I'll have to have Scott to confirm this story, but I think I'm about 90% correct on this one.
